Friday Little Things

I am SOOOOOOO excited it's Friday. Mostly because it's been way too long since my last Freeman fix, and I'm going to see him play tonight. Who? Huh? What?

In my post a couple days ago on Laura's jewelry, I mentioned that her boy (ok, ok, fiance!) was also super talented. Well, he is. Just check out the cheesy video and his awesome music:



Paul Freeman (the most adorable little Welshman I ever did meet) is amazing. And when I talk about music, I don't use that term loosely. To see him live is a complete treat, and tonight he's playing at one of my favorite spots, the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. If you're in town and looking for something to do, come by. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!

Friday Little Things

I haven't been very good on posting my 'little things' for the week every Friday. Maybe it's because the little things in my life these days have been fairly big things or moments that simply cannot be captured by a photo. But, this week, I have one! It's been making me smile every time I get in bed...


Remember when I posted my series of pink rooms early last week? I promised that I was working to try and incorporate a bit of it in my own home. Wellll.... I found the most perfect pink linen pillow cases for my bedroom! Now I'm working on the rest of the decor in there since the colors the were in the bed are now on the couch. I'm thinking of doing oranges/peaches/pinks? Or maybe just keeping it clean and fresh with whites. Hmmm... what do you think? Any colors you've been inspired by lately to match this fresh palette?

Friday Little Things: For the Girls

So I've been staring at a few images this week that remind me of some of the gals in my life, which makes me so happy and thankful for them... this Friday's little things is for you ladies!


This sweet sweet ring is for Annie. For her love of elephants and her pending nuptials. An elephant ring seemed to suit the occasion! (You can find it here!) Next weekend she will be heading home to Marblehead for what's sure to be an amazing wedding! Congrats again to you and Michael and I cannot wait to see you both when you're back!



This sweet face is for my friend Erin who absolutely loves her some Frenchies. This little lady was particularly adorable, so I had to share!

And finally for all my girls headed out to Palm Springs this weekend...


I couldn't resist a little vintage Slim Aarons. Have fun ladies, and stay cool!

As for me, I'll have some visitors in town to look forward to, and some more girly posts (to continue on this theme) next week! Oh, and thank you all for helping and indulging me in celebrating in my anniversary month of June. Here's to one year!

Ta Ta...

I'm off to a much needed weekend in Seattle with family and friends! I promise to return with two very special posts... so make sure to come back on Monday! Oh, and I promised an update on me and my roomie's new pup, so my Friday Little Things is dedicated to her...



We named her Kylie! I'm totally in love. Here's the bad news - she's already in the hospital. She's had a very bad cold all week, and things went a bit south today so send some good love vibes her way if you don't mind. We want her back home asap :(

Friday Little Things: SATC & BFF's

I don't exactly have an inspiring photo to accompany this week's little things, so let's just say this: My best friend is coming into town, and the highly blogged about and anticipated SATC is opening today. Woooot! What more does a girl need? Oh, except these AMAZING shoes from miu miu...

Friday Little Things...

My grandmother's ring, a childhood bracelet, and a vintage ashtray with gold detail.

I hardly ever wear my diamonds... but they sure do sparkle! I wore my grandmother's ring last week for the wedding I was in, and every time I looked at it, it made me smile. I decided to start keeping it out in this delicate ashtray at my bedside. I love it!

Just A Little Something...

Exhausted from a weekend of celebrating, I thought I'd pass along a few 'little things' to share from the wedding this weekend, and will be back with full postings again tomorrow...

Friday Little Things

There's nothing better than a few flowers by the bed. I snagged the little brass bird (who has a partner) on ebay, the milky glass candle holder is actually a tumbler from Ikea, and the small vintage glass bottle part of my mini collection from my Empiric days. It was such a sweet little setup to wake up to all week!
