FINA DU: LOVELY LITTLE DRESSES

I'm over the moon for this new little online shop, Fina Du (which is 'lovely you' in Swedish!) that features beautiful pieces from Scandanavian designers.

They carry lines from the likes of well-known names like Malene Birger (a personal favorite - don't you want these beautiful summer dresses of hers?) as well as names being introduced to the US for the first time.

The dress on the top of my wishlist is the stunner on the left from designer Ida Sjöstedt. I am in LOVE with every little detail! Of course, for something a little more, um... subtle? The black piece is quite sweet.

The site also features gorgeous accessories and many other goodies. A must browse on this rainy afternoon!

Malene Birger: Chic in Majorca

Not only does fashion designer Malene Birger have a gorgeous home in Copenhagen but she also has a fabulous retreat in Majorca.  It has been raining in New York for what seems like a week and I think we could all use a little sunny inspiration.  I am going to close my eyes today and dream of that amazing view and ignore the rain outside.  Bon Weekend!

Life and Work: Malene Birger's Life in Pictures

I happened to be perusing the books at the Rizzoli store recently and instantly fell in love with Life and Work: Malene Birger's Life in Pictures.  I wasn't familiar with Ms. Birger but she is a famous fashion designer in Copenhagen, Denmark who has had her own line since 2003.  I was happy to find out that her fashions on Net-a-Porter, are very affordable and wearable.  What really impressed me though are her gorgeous homes.  The book is filled with images of her down to earth Danish decorating style and fabulous artwork.  Her home in Copenhagen (seen here) is eclectic yet elegant and completely befitting a chic fashion designer.  It's quickly become one of my all time favorites and will probably become one of yours.  Enjoy!
