I have been wearing Santal 26 from Le Labo for almost two years now and still love it. I have never had more people, both men and women, ask me what I'm wearing and tell me that I smell good. As an interior designer, I get a kick out of telling that it's technically a room spray. Apparently, I wasn't the only one wearing this unique scent because they have just come out with the perfume version, Santal 33. I am glad I was to test the new fragrance before my cold left me unable to breathe or smell. It seems a bit spicier and a little more masculine which seems fitting since the description mentions the Marlboro Man. My bottle of Santal 26 is just about empty and I still haven't decided if I'll switch over yet. There is something about the room spray as perfume that not only smells great but makes me smile!

Love, Chloé
My friend Jessica and I are excited that fashion is moving away from the awful eighties and back to the seductive seventies and Chloé is doing it better than anyone! They just launched their new fragrance Love, Chloé in Paris at the chic restaurant Apicius which they even redecorated with seventies furniture. The pièce de résistance though was model and face of the fragrance Raquel Zimmermann driving up to the party in a gold Mercedes convertible with Roman Coppola. He directed the ridiculously chic commercial that will start airing this fall in which Raquel drives the same convertible and prances around Paris looking like a modern day Lisa Taylor. You have to check out the party video online that gives you a glimpse. Chloé has already inspired me to start growing out my hair. Now all I need is that darn Mercedes!

RING IN SPRING GIVEAWAY III: ROYAL SCENTS
Last year, I featured the fabulous line of Royal Apothic candles created by one of my many LA acquaintances, designer Sean O'Mara. After experiencing them myself, I, like many other fans, was begging for a perfume version of the simple fresh scents...
Ummm... wish granted!! Not only that, but Royal Apothic is now carried at... (you guessed it)... Anthropologie! We just got our shipment in the other day, and I have to say that I loved every one of these extracts - on their own, but also paired together to create a custom blend.
For our final spring giveaway this week, we have a set of three perfume sticks for you to experience yourself! Violette Pastile, Fig, and a special addition, Hydrangea (not available in Anthropologie stores yet!).
So! Here we go again... one last chance to win this week! This time, leave us a comment letting us know what your favorite spring or summer scented memories are. For me, it's the wisteria blooming in my parents backyard.... now that's a sign of spring!
*the contest is now closed... thanks everyone for your fantastic comments! so much beautiful, scented nostalgia!
