I've become more and more fond of lilac as a neutral lately, and the point is so well illustrated in this photo by Johnny Miller. I love those vintage looking containers in a vivid Chinese Red against the soft lilac walls. Incredibly unexpected!
Also loving the powerful contrast between such a soft blue and a strong olive green... in a kitchen no less!! Fantastic.
