Last week, I fell in love. Seriously in love. I discovered the portfolio site for Frank Features - a South African editorial content company - and found myself impressed more and more with each inspirational image...
The glamorous details captured in crystal...
Old world dining rooms and sleek, modern bars...
Dark and dramatic or fresh and light...
Every single one is absolutely perfectly stunning!

The Wishlist Begins...
It wouldn't be a birthday week around here without a completely unattainable wishlist (hence the word wish) - so let's start with one of the most insanely gorgeous and original chandeliers I have ever laid eyes upon...
Ladies and gents - I give you the Andre Arbus "Christal Chandelier" - recreated by Baker this market as a part of the debut of the Andre Arbus collection that is nothing short of breathtaking. This, piece, however, was so enchanting that I didn't even notice those horrible ceilings until just now.
The original chandelier hung in Arbus' Paris apartment - can you imagine? Three bulbs are hidden by the crystal 'crown' that surrounds them, all encompassed in a perfect bubble and 'hung like a jewel' as Baker says. Perfect for a birthday princess, if I'm not mistaken.
PS - I'll have much more on High Point, Arbus and Baker to come!

Chanel in a Chandelier?
I think I need this. No... I know I need this.
Gorgeous white porcelain flowers and dramatic black metal perfectly capture the Chanel style philosophy, don't you think? I'd hang her in my office where my black and white motif is strongest to add a perfect feminine touch.

We Built This City (Out of Chandeliers)
I am so completely in awe of this design project...
As a part of Vienna Design Week's "Paths of Passion," ten designers or design teams created site-specific installations in Viennese shops.
Designer Maxim Velcovsky took gorgeously detailed and meticulously crafted chandelier pieces...

And created cityscapes placed into a large lightbox resembling a bookcase...
And made this:
New York, Moscow, London, and Medina. Fantastic, magical and amazing, don't you think? You can read the full story right here.
And speaking of cityscapes... check out yesterday's addition gift guide. It's a classic.
