Feathers For Your Fingers

My girl Carrie sent this fabulous feathery ring to me soooooo long ago, and every once in a while I go back to look at it because it's just so fun.

I would totally rock this for some whimsical occasion, and tickle people's noses all night long. Hee hee!

Pink Flamingos!

Have I ever mentioned my love for pink flamingos? The real thing and those tacky yet fantastic plastic garden variety. I truly believe in having a bit of a sense of humour when it comes to decor, and I think a set of these exotic birds might just do it for me!

I love how they're used in this sunlit hallway amongst antique chandelier sconces and formal shabby chic furniture. I'd love to see them scattered about a perfectly manicured english garden. It's all about the contrasts! Of course, if you're not ready for the life-sized pink flamingos, perhaps just a dash of them in your tableware? These cuties from Bailey Doesn't Bark are just my style.

Zig Zags (In Pink!)

Now that my home office is somewhat put together, I've moved my decorating obsessions on to my bedroom. During the winter, I was content with a somewhat dramatic palette of dark woods, pops of red, and black victorian details against my pale grey walls. Now that spring has officially arrived (YES! we had sunshine this weekend!) I'm ready to switch to something a bit lighter again. I have my eye on this beauty of a duvet...

Because this is how a Monday morning should look, don't you think? The barely there pink zig zag bedding from Rubie Green would be the perfect pattern to offset my somewhat muted beach tones of greys and blues, combined with a remaining few of the Victorian details...

See? It totally works. And I already have some pale pink linen pillow cases to go with! Eeeeek! I must have it!

What to Wear: Wedding Season

So, the boy and I were looking at our calendars this week and realized we're averaging a wedding a month from May through August, which means somebody is gonna be on the lookout for some cuh-UTE wedding attire!

Yes, true, I have lots of dresses in my closet that are still waiting to be worn, but a girl can dream, right? I think I'll start with this one...

Ok, so there's a chance I may drown in a sea of blue ruffles, I still love it. Need more convincing?

It's not only sweet, but also sassy. Two requirements for me - done and done. Plus, one of the weddings is on a blueberry farm... hmmm...

In case you haven't noticed, I have a bit of an obsession with cocktail rings. My latest discovery? The gorgeous creations of Julius Cohen...

Really... don't make me chose just one color. They're all so fantastic. I love the varying tones in each, and the size is perfect - not too big (by my standards), but still quite a statement.

I think I might love the turquoise paired with emerald most! And the diamond ring? The cuts of each stone stand for hope (heart, oval, pear, emerald). Symbolic and lovely... I don't think I can resist! Which would you choose?
